Welcome English III A and G periods. Your assignment for this blog is to choose a meaningful passage from The Great Gatsby and explain its significance in a Post. The goals of this assignment are to learn how to: use textual evidence, analyze a passage for meaning, develop an idea thoroughly, and respond to a peer’s original Post with a Comment of your own. Student Posts must be a minimum of 250 words.

You are required to make one Post and three comments a week for the next two weeks. The Comment is a reply to or comment on another student’s post in your group.

• Each student will make one Post that contains a passage from the novel and explain its significance. There are four categories to submit your Post. Choose the most appropriate category for your passage and comment about the passage. If no category seems to fit, Uncategorized will be the default.Your Posts and Comments will be evaluated using a 4 point rubric.Save your work on a hard copy and use your Posts and Comments as material for the paper on The Great Gatsby.
